Professor Ma Ying Attended the 17th CIGR World Congress

At financial support of HIT international collaboration funding and invitation of the Canadian Society for Bioengineering Societ canadienne de g nie agroalimentaire et de bioing nierie (CSBE/SCGAB), Professor Ma Ying, School of Food Science and Engineering, attended the International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (cigr.org) hold the XVIIth World Congress in Qu bec City, Canada on June 13 to 17, 2010. The theme of the Congress is: Sustainable Biosystems through Engineering . CIGR is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization providing a networking system for regional and national societies of agricultural engineering as well as private and public companies and individuals all over the world. More than 1000 experts and scientists from 40 countries attended the congress. Professor Ma Ying was invited and delivered a presentation, Combined effects of freezing and storage conditions on the staling of cooked rice in the Congress. During the congress, Professor Ma also contacted with some professors from McGillUniversity and UC Davis, and discussed potential possibility of collaboration in the research and student exchange in the future.
