Recently, Freesia 'fendie', a new cultivar of freesia refracta, cultivated by professor Wang Li from School of Life Science, has successfully obtained the international recognition after the evaluation of KAVB (Dutch, the Royal General Association for Bulb Culture in English) in Netherlands. It has made a new breakthrough in achieving international recognition of China's self-cultivated new freesia species and has gained "International Identification" authorized by global flower circle.

This achievement has also laid foundations for the industrialization and commercialization of this new freesia cultivar.
