Boston Proper, a multi-channel specialty retailer of women’s apparel and accessories, announced the launch of a new e-commerce Web site in conjunction with Fry, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems Inc and a leading e-commerce solutions provider.
The latest version of bostonproper.com was developed using Fry’s Open Commerce Platform (OCP), an e-commerce solution that provides retailers with a feature-rich, scalable online store. As with all OCP sites, Boston Proper’s site features robust content management, flexible promotional tools, targeted merchandising capability and advanced site search.
Boston Proper partnered with Fry because Fry’s flexible solution enables the company to own the site and preserve the brand’s distinctive, sensuous look and feel. In addition to the replatforming of the site, Fry also provided services in user experience design and hosting.
After evaluating several top e-commerce platform providers, Boston Proper chose to partner with Fry. “We were impressed with Fry’s experience with online apparel catalogers and knew right away that Fry was the best fit to build our next-generation e-commerce site,” said Margaret Moraskie, Vice President of e-commerce for Boston Proper. “Partnering with Fry has enabled Boston Proper to maintain our aspirational look and enhance our brand and cross-channel experience for our shoppers.”
“It is essential for online retailers like Boston Proper to effectively display their products and reach customers in a meaningful way,” said David Fry, President of Fry. “The refreshed Web site for Boston Proper provides its customers additional ways to shop.”
