In the spirit of helping to create a healthier, cleaner earth, Organically Grown, a Los Angeles based company, launches its Organically Grown Baby apparel line at select retailers including Macys, Gottschalks, Dillards and Buy Buy Baby.
The infant product, sizes newborn to 9 months, is made from brushed jersey and terry velour organic cotton. The 3-piece sets consist of baby gowns, body suits, jackets, pants, blankets and hats on a padded hanger.
“We have the best brand name in the business…Organically Grown…it speaks for itself. It is instantly understood by the consumer as to who we are, what we stand for and what we are offering,” explains Bob Stein, co-founder and CEO, the Organically Grown Group, LLC. “We are proud to deliver a high quality product at a value to the consumer made from 100% organic cotton.” Organic cotton is grown pesticide-free without the use of genetically modified seeds. “There is a direct connection between what we wear and the effect it has on our planet.”
The Organically Grown trademarks were recently acquired by the Organically Grown Group LLC from the TJX Companies, Inc. that own and operate Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Historically, Organically Grown was a popular apparel line owned by Arpeja of California and had annual sales of approximately $100 million.
Organically Grown is scheduled to release its organic infant bedding and room décor, cosmetics, skin care, household cleaners, girl’s underwear and women’s wear lines in Spring 2009.
Organically Grown’s mission is to bring safe, affordable, organic, worker friendly products to the marketplace.
