Abercrombie & Fitch reported net sales of $215.0 million for the four-week period ended November 1, 2008, a 14% decrease from net sales of $251.1 million for the four-week period ended November 3, 2007. October comparable store sales decreased 20%. Total Company direct-to-consumer net sales decreased 4% to $17.7 million for the four-week period ended November 1, 2008, compared to the four-week period ended November 3, 2007.
Year-to-date, the Company reported a net sales increase of 1% to $2.542 billion from $2.521 billion last year. Comparable store sales decreased 8% for the year-to-date period. Year-to-date, the Company reported that direct-to-consumer net sales increased 17% to $175.9 million.
