Charlotte Russe Holding Inc announced an exclusive marketing partnership with renowned stylist Eric Daman and named Susie Castillo, one of television’s most recognizable faces and a former Miss USA, as brand ambassador.
As part of the agreement, Daman, who prior to establishing his success as fashion director for the hit TV series Gossip Girl assisted in the styling efforts on Sex and the City, will provide Charlotte with insights into the latest trends and styles, advise on creative direction and assist with product design and merchandise development.
Susie Castillo, an actress, accomplished author, former vee-jay on MTV’s Total Request Live, and only the third Latina to serve as Miss USA, will become the Company’s new celebrity spokesperson. As the first brand ambassador for Charlotte, Castillo will be the face of the Company, serving as spokesperson, appearing in marketing and advertising campaigns and playing a key role at promotional events.
Commenting on these announcements, Jennifer Salopek, Chairman of Charlotte Russe, said, “Eric and Susie have their fingers on the pulse of today’s leading fashion trends and will immediately elevate the visibility and credibility of the Charlotte brand. Eric is one of the country’s most recognized stylists, having created the looks on critically acclaimed television hits Gossip Girl and Sex and the City that young women everywhere emulate. Susie exudes the confidence, fashion focus and aspirations of our customer -- she personifies the Charlotte brand. Bringing Eric and Susie onboard is a sign of what’s to come from Charlotte, as we sharpen our identification with fashion-conscious young women and become an even bigger part of their lives.”
“I am thrilled to be joining Charlotte during such an evolutionary time within the Company,” said Eric Daman. “Charlotte speaks to the fashion-conscious set looking for good values and I look forward to working with the team to further promote great style and trends for the chic young woman.”
“I’m excited and honored to be the new face of such a fun, fashion-forward label that continues to make great clothing and accessories,” said Susie Castillo. “Charlotte also understands that in addition to great style, most young women look for affordability without sacrificing quality. The line really does embody those ideals.”
Both agreements are effective through December 2009. ACI Licensing and Endeavor Talent Agency represented Eric Daman, and ACI Licensing represented Susie Castillo in these arrangements.
