The very successful Carhartt Woman line that was launched in Fall 2007 to rave reviews will be expanded with 14 new apparel and accessory items, including a Carhartt Woman version of Carhartt’s popular Waterproof Breathable Jacket and Pant. Other new products in the Carhartt Woman line include a Denim Jean Jacket, Washed Denim Bib Overall, Canvas Cargo Short, Short Sleeve Work Polo, Work Tank Top and Sleeveless Poplin Snap-Front Shirt.
Carhartt’s Series 1889 denim line is also expanding with the addition of a Series 1889 Denim Jacket that includes the retro-workwear styling of the Series 1889 jeans and dungarees launched in Fall 2007. In addition to the Series 1889 line, other new Carhartt workwear created for the younger worker segment includes Double Front Canvas Work Dungarees and Double Front Work Shorts in 7.5-ounce ring-spun cotton canvas.
Carhartt’s successful Work-Dry workwear program has been extremely popular with active workers who want moisture management and other performance qualities such as anti-microbial and anti-odor treatments in their workwear without sacrificing a cotton feel. For Spring 2008, Carhartt’s new Work-Dry products include a Short Sleeve Work-Dry Henley and Short Sleeve Work-Dry Collared Work Shirt for men.
Another performance option added to Carhartt’s workwear in Spring 2008 is lightweight and durable ripstop cotton fabric, in a Short Sleeve Ripstop Woven Shirt and Long Sleeve Ripstop Woven Shirt, both with convertible pockets that can be used either with or without a buttoned cotton flap, as well as a Short Sleeve Ripstop Plaid Shirt.

Carhartt is also adding a third workwear option for active workers in wet conditions. Carhartt’s new Work-Flex rainwear is built around highly durable and flexible polyurethane-coated polyester fabric that offers superior waterproof and wind-resistant capabilities while maintaining tremendous stretch flexibility for workers whose jobs require a wide range of movement. The Work-Flex rainwear joins Carhartt’s traditional PVC rainwear and Waterproof Breathable foul-weather gear to provide a variety of options suited to any wet job site.
“Carhartt is continuing to solve problems for our consumers by giving them new workwear options that maintain our core durability, comfort and fit while offering new capabilities for a variety of work conditions,” explained Rick Fecowicz, general merchandise manager for Carhartt.
