UK:Golf apparel brand Glenmuir to sponsor PGA Conference

Glenmuir, one of Europe’s leading golf apparel brands, is sponsoring this year’s PGA National Teaching and Coaching Conference.
The new agreement reinforces the company’s already strong relationship with both the PGA and its membership.
The annual conference, which attracts some 500 PGA Professionals, is being held at Coventry’s The Ricoh Arena on Wednesday, 7th and Thursday, 8th May.
Andy Bough, Glenmuir Marketing Director, said: “We are delighted to sponsor the PGA conference which is a must-attend event for any PGA Professional who wants to learn more about coaching techniques and developments.
“We have built up a strong relationship with the PGA - including backing the PGA Professional Championship for the past 16 years - and its membership, both in Britain and Europe, provides the core of our business activity.
“Sponsoring the conference gives us the opportunity to communicate our on-going support for the association and its membership.”To commemorate the new sponsorship agreement every attendee will receive an embroidered Glenmuir baseball cap.
Keynote speaker the conference will be Chuck Cook, widely regarded as one of the world’s finest golf coaches, who has guided five players - Tom Kite, Corey Pavin, Bill Rodgers, Mark Brooks and the late Payne Stewart - to Major successes.
He will be joined at the home of Coventry City FC by a host of other well-known names from the coaching world including Rugby World Cup winner Sir Clive Woodward and biomechanics expert Dr Paul Hurrion, renowned for his work with European Tour stars Padraig Harrington and Lee Westwood.
The impressive line-up also includes Jamil Qureshi, one of the world’s foremost practitioners of performance-enhancing psychology, hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming, who was a key member of Ian Woosnam's team during Ryder Cup at, The K Club and Dr Brian Hemmings, the psychologist to elite young English golfers with the English Golf Union.
