Thai Covenant Co Ltd has come up with a brand new invention which can also be termed as one of the most awe-inspiring innovations in the recent years. This marvelous creation is saffron-colored robes infused with bug repellant to keep mosquitoes from biting Buddhist monks.
Conceptualized and brought out by a Thai fabric designer, these robes have been drenched in herbal bug repellant. The company, plans to target Buddhist countries around Asia like Myanmar, Sri Lanka and India for its exports.
The market for this robe in Thailand alone is worth two billion baht (US $72 million) a year. However, each of these robes will cost 10 percent higher than the usual ones considering the fact that they are designed for a special purpose and require more precision and skill.
