Pakistan : Cotton prices slip a little

Write: Seung [2011-05-20]
February seems to be good for manufacturers as cotton prices began sliding since starting of the month. With this, the related producers are able to relax a bit due to drop in cotton prices. January remained quite agonizing for them as market rates for the cotton remained volatile for quite some time.
Up till January 31, cotton prices demonstrated a rising trend which stood at somewhere around 3,200 per mound.
According to Karachi Cotton Association (KCA), rates of cotton, since February 1, stood at Rs3,150 per mound. Prices quoted for today are Rs3,125 per mound.
