Arkema is proud to welcome to its Colombes Headquarters the participants of a conference on "France’s Position in Nanomaterials", organized by the Enterprise Directorate General of the Ministry for the Economy, Finance and Employment, and chaired by Messrs Albert Fert, Nobel Physics Prize, and Yves Farge, Vice-president of the Technologies Academy.
With its R&D’s innovations, Arkema is a leading player in nanostructured materials, marketed under the tradenames Graphistrength and Nanostrength, which boast outstanding mechanical, electrical and thermal properties.
Arkema is developing the use of its nanostructured materials in wide-ranging applications, from the aeronautics and automotive industries to sports and electronic equipment. In several of these applications, Arkema partners companies which are leaders in their own fields.
Further areas are also being considered for development, in particular energy with the optimization of photovoltaic cells and the development of more efficient energy storage systems like supercapacitors and lithium ion batteries.
