Pakistan : Traditional handicraft expo in Islamabad

Islamabad is currently hosting a 10-day exhibition displaying exquisite hand embroidered outfits, handbags, purses and other such accessories.
The event housed at the Hawwa Women Craft Cooperatives offices opened on Wednesday.
Wide range of kurtis and dresses with intricate work in exotic colours are being displayed here. Traditional phulkari stitch, tarkaashi, cross-swati stitch, crochet and cutwork as well as block prints adorn the outfits, here.
Sources assured that 90 percent of the money from this exposition will go to the craftsmen and the rest will be donated to organizations working for the welfare of the women in the country.
