THE Ahmedabad-based industrial starch manufacturing company, Anil Products Ltd (APL), plans to expand its market share in the Textile Industry.
To improve the weaving efficiencies on high speed shuttles looms through the sizing operations, APL has developed a range of Modified Starches through extensive research at their Govt. Of India approved R&D Deptt. APL has also collaborated with IIT Delhi to evaluate their developed range of Modified Starches.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amol Sheth, Managing Director, Anil Products Limited, said that “With the textiles industry growing at 16% - 18% per annum and increasing trend of shuttle less looms being installed, we see a bright future for our Modified Starches."
This would bring about improvements in weaving efficiencies by 2%-10% depending upon nature of operation and reduce the sizing costs by 5 % -20 % , and in turn will also help produce better quality fabric.
APL has a range of modified starches under the Brand “Sizanil”, “Anilose”, “Texanil”, “Anilosize” to suit various sizing needs depending upon the operations.
These modified Starches help reduce, the use levels of synthetic binders like PVA, Polyacrylates and Polyester resins.
Approx 20% per cent of APL’s starch production goes to the textile sector. In the light of the induction of the modern sizing and weaving machinery, the company expects to grow the Modified Starch business in Textile Industry volume by approx 25% -27% Y-O-Y for next 5 years.
