A delegation from Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) is set to visit Brazil from 17 August, so as to seek partners to import tanned leather used in footwear production of Vietnam.
Nha Trang-based Khatoco plans to work with Centre of the Tannery Factories of Brazil (CICB) and Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (APEX), who had toured Vietnam late 2006 to expand tanned leather exports to Vietnam.
In 2006, Brazil exported 419,300 tones tanned leather for US $1.88 billion, of which exporting to Vietnam was 8,951 tones, worth $35.78 million.
