Pakistan : Country to start joint venture with Uzbekistan in leather

At a recent meeting with an Uzbekistan delegation, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema, Provincial Minister for Industries, said Pakistan and Uzbekistan investors will soon start a joint venture in the leather sector. He said this will increase the volume of trade between the two countries.
Cheema said visits would be arranged between trade delegations of the two countries. A single-country exhibition would also be arranged which would be helpful in enhancing trade relations. The minister also assured the delegation that officials from the Leather Association of Pakistan will soon visit Uzbekistan.
However, a source from Pakistan Tanners Association told Fibre2fashion that as yet, the Ministry has not communicated with the association regarding future visits to Uzbekistan.
On the other hand, a source from the embassy of The Republic of Uzbekistan told Fibre2fashion that negotiations for a joint venture between the two countries are indeed going on.
