Pakistan: Ministries criticised for ignoring textile sector

LAHORE: All Pakistan Textile Association (APTA) appreciated the efforts of the ministry of commerce in solving the problems of the textile sector, but at the same time also criticised other ministries and State Bank of Pakistan’s role for affecting the textile industry.
APTA chairman Adil Mehmood in a press release appreciated Commerce Minister Humayoun Akhtar Khan regarding his efforts on all fronts. However, he said that other ministries and SBP refused to listen or cooperate in the crisis like situation that is currently faced by the spinning industry.
