In New York City, the Rockport Company introduced its most ambitious footwear collection to date -- Rockport with adidas TORSION Technology. Building on the company's legacy of innovation, the new collection utilizes advanced technology originally engineered for athletic footwear.
Rockport with adidas TORSION will launch nationwide on September 13, 2007 and worldwide, in 70 countries, by October 1, 2007. This marks an evolution in the footwear industry and partners two leading global brands -- adidas and Rockport.
Rockport has pioneered the use of athletic technologies in casual and dress shoes for more than 35 years, but this launch marks a significant development for the company. Designed with both performance and comfort features, the Rockport with adidas TORSION men's collection includes 14 styles ranging from athletic-inspired casual to modern, contemporary dress looks.

adidas TORSION Technology:
adidas TORSION technology is a dynamic ground adaptation system that provides enhanced stability and helps reduce foot fatigue. It was first launched by adidas in 1989 and has been used by top professional athletes worldwide. Visible on the bottom of each style in the Rockport collection, TORSION technology allows the shoe to closely mimic the natural twisting movement of the foot in motion.
Rockport has fused the stability and support of adidas TORSION technology with its innovative Dynamic Suspension air cushioning system to improve the in-shoe experience for the foot. The collection will be sold in specialty department stores, premium independent locations, fashion boutiques and Rockport retail stores or online at Rockport website.
