SANITIZED, world-wide leading specialist for antimicrobial hygiene protection with many years of experience in silver products, presents Sanitized Silver, the newest generation of antimicrobial finishes for synthetic fibers. This highly innovative product offers a multiple advantage for the producer as well as for the end-consumer: no binder necessary, applicable in the extract procedure and a washing resistance of up to 100 cycles at 60° Celsius.
The natural anti-bacterial effect of silver against a broad-range of bacteria is undisputed and scientifically accepted. It damages the cell membranes of bacteria and inhibits their growth. In addition, it hinders the reproduction of the bacteria responsible for odor development. As in many other areas, SANITIZED is pioneer in silver technology.
Over six years, silver has been used very successfully in the Polymer Area. SANITIZED was the first supplier of silver products for natural antimicrobial hygiene protection in Europe. Now, for the first time, a highly-developed product is presented for textile applications, into which flowed long-time experience as well as all the know-how and needs of the textile market. The high standards and expectations set by SANITIZED to create the “best possible technology” have been entirely fulfilled.
So far unattained washing resistance:
Sanitized Silver was developed for synthetic fibers, especially polyester – the preferred material for functional textiles for the sport and leisure clothing sector but also for work-wear. The end-user particularly demands a high washing resistance for these articles. Sanitized Silver fulfils this aspect to the highest degree. Up to 100 washing cycles at 60° Celsius (EN ISO 6330:2000) are possible without impairing the hygienic function.
