Netherlands : Mr Macmillan to represent Nike at IAF World Apparel Convention

The IAF World Apparel Convention 2007 is approaching at full speed. With only three weeks to go before the convention, final preparations are well under way.
Speakers and topics of discussion have been confirmed, and the International Apparel Federation (IAF) is honored to add Rory Macmillan from Nike to the list of speakers.
Rory Macmillan joined Nike in May 2001. He is Vice President of the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI), Chair of the FESI Intellectual Property committee and is also a key member of FESI’s Trade and Customs committee, as well as representing FESI on the European Commission’s High Level Group on The Future of Textiles and Clothing Policy. He is also a very active member of Amcham EU both as Chair of its EU Presidency Group and Vice Chair of its trade policy group.
The presentation at the IAF World Apparel Convention will examine the key factors that multinational brands need to consider in stakeholder advocacy for trade and market access. This will include:
• key factors for predictability & certainty
• prospects for a new multi-lateral trade agreement at WTO & why it is important
• key developments in bi-lateral & regional trade agreements
• the role of China & other developing economies in global trade policy for apparel.
