Mahtab Alam, a humble businessman from a small town in Jharkhand, has tailored a shirt which is nearly two storied tall. In a bid to do something unique, to make his family and country feel proud, Alam went ahead with this bizarre idea of making a king sized shirt.
The shirt is nearly 20 feet long and 10 feet wide with a 7 feet collar. The pockets measuring 3.4 x 4.2 feet can literally nestle a person and, a total of 17 carom board strikers were used as buttons for the shirt.
Having a floral print and shades of black, red and beige on a black background, the gigantic shirt weighing more than 10 kg is wrinkle free and can be washed at home. Alam had to invest a sum of 10,000 for the garment and spent about six days working on it.
Moreover, to arrange for a 100 meter cloth, that needs to be eight inches wider than the usual piece used for shirts, is not an easy task either. After this impressive achievement, Alam went to Delhi to get an entry in the Limca Book of Records.
