Ireland : Annual manufacturing rises 10% in Aug

On an annual basis production for Manufacturing Industries for August 2007 was 10.0% higher than in August 2006. The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for manufacturing industries for the three month period June to August 2007 was 4.7% higher than the preceding three month period.
The “Modern” Sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, showed an annual increase in production for August 2007 of 11.7%, while an increase of 6.2% was recorded in the “Traditional” Sector.
The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index for manufacturing industries was 1.0% lower in the three month period June to August 2007 when compared with the preceding three month period On an annual basis turnover in August 2007 was 7.1% higher when compared with August 2006.
