UK : SATRA China roadshows get excellent response

SATRA’s experts have been held a series of seminars in China, to offer important advice to members. In early July, SATRA staff presented a series of technical seminars for members in China.
The roadshows are a way for SATRA experts to meet members face-to-face. The response was excellent and SATRA intends to run a second series soon.
The tour comprised three days of technical presentations by SATRA experts Steve Rose, Mike George and Darren Brooks, with our China Office Manager, Vivien Hsieh, as interpreter.
Member companies sent as many delegates as they wished to each venue, with only a small cover charge for lunch. The programme covered a number of important topics, including modern solings, process control, sole adhesion, using leather and in-factory quality testing.
Seminars were held at the Royal Lagoon Hotel in Dongguan, the Mandarin Hotel in Quanzhou and the Holiday Inn in Shanghai. The Dongguan event exceeded expectations with 188 delegates booking for the day.
The Quanzhou and Shanghai roadshows were also popular. All five presentations, together with extra information provided in the form of SATRA Bulletin articles and explanatory leaflets, are now available on a CD.
