India : TEA cooperates with Govt for state development

President of Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA), A Sakthivel, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for upgrading Tirupur Municipality into a corporation. It believed that with this up gradation, the knitwear city will see a greater amount of infrastructural development which is the need of the hour.
President of TEA also informed Fibre2fashion, that the New Industrial Policy 2007 issued by the Tamil Nadu Government will immensely help the state industries, especially the export sector.
Mr Sakthivel further noted that it sought Government consideration on issues of implementation of marine discharge project, construction of budget houses for workers in Tirupur, formation of Tirupur district, underground drainage system in Tirupur, approval of all buildings in Tirupur, infrastructure-power, widening of road from Tirupur to Tuticorin and refund of value added tax.
