Organic wool has slowly captured the international market and this is largely because of the growing demand among health conscious consumers for eco-friendly fibre.
It for this reason that the International Wool Textile Organization (IWTO) will be organizing an exhibition titled ‘Wool the Environmentally Friendly Fibre' in Beijing from April 13-16 2008.
Australian wool in particular has immense significance in the international market and the United States is known for being one of the major consumers of this raw material.
Countries like Australia, Uruguay, Belgium, South Africa, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, France, Mauritius and the UK met in Italy to have a detailed discussion on organic wool.
More and more textile industry across the world are emphasizing on the production of organic woollen items since they not only promise positive remuneration but also guarantees continuous demand in the global market.
