HABITAT VALENCIA, which is set to take place from 23rd to 27th September at Feria Valencia, is launching "The contract route", a project that turns the event's targeting of this route to market into a physical reality and that reflects the integrated nature of the exhibition.
HABITAT VALENCIA encompasses the international furniture (FIM), decorating and accessories (DE>CO), lighting (FIAM), home textiles (Textilhogar) and modern and contemporary art fairs.
"The Contract Route" will consist of a number of spaces set throughout the whole exhibition area that will show roomsets decorated in different styles. The project is being led by the Guild of Decorators of the Comunidad Valenciana.
Hotel rooms, receptions, transit areas and dining rooms will be just some of the roomsets created by well-known interior designers, that "The Route" will include.
All styles - classic, "haute", modern and cutting edge décor - will be featured in what will be an added value project aimed at specifiers: decorators, interior designers, hotel chains, property developers and other operators in this sector.
HABITAT VALENCIA has developed a substantial promotion plan along with direct action designed to explain this new project and awaken interest amongst specifiers.
As well as activity in Spain, groups of members of the trade in the marketplaces that are of the most interest to this segment of the industry are being invited to come to the exhibition. In addition to these activities a presentation of the full HABITAT VALENCIA exhibition offer has been given in Dubai.
The contract section of HABITAT VALENCIA 2008 is set to be a focus of inspiration for architects, interior decorators and interior designers and a hub that will attract the national and international press. It will also be a space dedicated to the creation and development of the new contract culture.
The contract market, which specialises in comprehensive fitting out of premises designed for communal use, is growing all the time.
It also holds enormous potential for development and is an opportunity for companies in the home products industry to diversify their spheres of business.
