Twenty-four governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and representatives from the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, the Financial Stability Board and other international and regional institutions participated in the 19th Ministerial Meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) in Washington D.C. on April 25, 2009. The meeting focused on the global economic and financial situation, IMF s response to the crisis and the IMF reform. Zhou Xiaochuan, Governor for China in the IMF and Governor of the People s Bank of China (PBC), delivered a speech at the meeting.
