Zhou Xiaochuan, Governor of the People s Bank of China (PBC), met with Mr. Takatoshi Kato, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, on June 8th in Beijing. The two exchanged views on China s macroeconomic developments, monetary policy, structural reform and other issues. Mr. Kato will also hold meetings with leading officials of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and the China Banking Regulatory Commission during his visit in Beijing, which is part of the annual Article ??nsultation between China and the IMF.
