The 12th APG annual meeting convened in Australia

From July 6 to 10, 2009, a Chinese delegation consisting of representatives from the People s Bank of China and other institutions attended the 12th annual meeting of the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering(APG)in Brisbane, Australia. Over 350 delegates from more than 40 countries and regions and 20 international institutions participated in the meeting.

The meeting discussed and approved the membership of Papua New Guinea and APG s plan on strategy, operation and budget. The meeting s agenda also included several mutual evaluation reports. Typologies and implementation work group meeting and technical seminars related to financial crisis, political and public figures and corruption were held during the meeting.

The APG will hold its 13th annual meeting in Singapore in July, 2010.
