According to the PBC and CBRC, SMEs outstanding RMB loans increased 3.08 trillion yuan over the beginning of 2009 to 14.1 trillion yuan (among which 910.2 billion was bill financing) at the end of September 2009, a rise of 28 percent.
At end-September, outstanding non-performing loans of SMEs (not including bill financing) fell by 71.6 billion yuan over the beginning of 2009 to 534.1 billion yuan, accounting for 4.05 percent of all outstanding loans of SMEs, a decrease of 1.83 percentage points compared with the beginning of this year.
