On April 11th, Mr. Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of the CNAO, and Mr. Dong Dasheng, Deputy Auditor General of the CNAO, met with visiting Mr. Abdol Reza Rahmani Fazli, Senior President of the Supreme Audit Court of Iran and his delegation in Beijing. Both sides have exchanged the views about the development of audit work in each country.
Iranian delegation came to China to attend the 6th Performance Audit Seminar and 19th meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on IT Audit hosted by the CNAO from April 12th 17th, 2010.
Mr. Liu Jiayi firstly extended a warmly welcome to Mr. Fazli, and introduced the overview of the CNAO. He said that there has been a good cooperative relationship between Supreme Audit Court of Iran and the CNAO. The visit will surely further strengthen mutual friendship and cooperation as well as promote the development of auditing work in both countries.
According to Mr. Liu Jiayi, while further promoting the audit of pubic finance, the CNAO also carries out several audits based on practical situation, including the accountability audit over the Party and government officials and business leaders, the audit on resources and environment, and the audit on large-scale investment projects.
The objectives have two dimensions: one is to expose the problems of mal-management; the other is to identify root causes of problems from the perspectives of mechanisms and systems, as well as to put forward recommendations with a view to promoting continuous improvement. In this regard, Supreme Audit Court of Iran enjoys successful experiences and practices which are worth learning by the CNAO.
