From Aug 30th to Sep 8th, the National Audit Office of China (CNAO) held the Audit Seminar for SAIs in South Pacific Region. 22 delegates from 11 countries of this Region came to China for the seminar, including 7 Auditor-Generals and 3 Deputy Auditor-Generals.

The seminar consisted of two parts: discussion and study tour. The discussion was held in Dalian city of Liaoning province, northeast of China. Delegates got to know about China s national condition, including auditing system, environmental policy, environmental audit, social security system, social security audit and capacity building of auditors in China. For the section of study tour, delegates went to Shanghai to visit the World EXPO, the Forbidden City and Great Wall in Beijing respectively.

Mr.Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of China, Mr.Dong Dasheng, Deputy Auditor General from CNAO and Mr.Chong Quan, Deputy Minister from Ministry of Commerce of China, attended the opening ceremony and closing ceremony respectively and gave speech.
At the closing ceremony, delegates said that they cherished this journey to China very much, and they were impressed by China s fast development of socio-economy, long-lasing historical culture and hospitality of Chinese people. They also hope that CNAO would further enhance communication and exchange of auditing experience with PASAIs, and continue to provide training opportunity for them.
