On April 12th, Mr. Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China, and Mr. Dong Dasheng, Deputy Auditor General of the CNAO, met with visiting Mr. Carlos Polit Faggioni, the General Comptroller of the General Comptroller of Ecuador and his delegation. Both sides have exchanged the views about IT audit and mutual auditing cooperation, signed the memorandum of mutual auditing cooperation as well.
Mr. Liu Jiayi firstly extended a warmly welcome to Mr. Faggioni, and introduced an interview of CNAO. Liu said, there is a profound friendship between China and Ecuador, both SAIs in two countries have had extensive exchange and cooperation, understood each other and supplied mutual assistance and support in international affairs. With the fast development of economic society and scientific technology, information technology has been applied in audit work, which has played a part in promoting auditing capability, efficiency and quality.
Mr. Liu Jiayi said, the subscription of the memo about mutual auditing cooperation is good for promoting more multiple exchange, discussion and cooperation between both SAIs, and then further promoting mutual development of audit work in both SAIs.
Mr. Faggioni expressed his appreciation to the meeting with Mr. Liu Jiayi and gave an introduction of audit work in Ecuador. He hoped that subscription of auditing cooperation memo would further strengthen exchange and cooperation of auditor education and training, promote the new chapter of cooperation between the two SAIs opened, and then promote the mutual audit work development of both sides.
In addition to the visit, Mr. Faggioni attended the 6th Performance Auditing Seminar of the INTOSAI Working Group on IT Audit.
