NEW car sales in the Beijing city were likely to decline 50 percent next year compared with 2010 because of the recent limit, said Luo Lei, vice general secretary of the China Automobile Dealers Association, the central television reported Friday.
Luo said he expected that new car sales would total 800,000 in Beijing this year, but the extremely high figure was partly because many people rushed to buy cars by the end of this year to avoid the ban next year. Usually, new cars sales in Beijing were 500,000 units per year, he said.(SD-Agencies)
