Top refineries
THE country s top refineries will process 1.4 percent more crude this month versus January on a daily basis, the second increase in a row despite pricier feedstocks, as throughput cuts in some plants are offset by others ramping up runs after maintenance, a Reuters poll showed.
Refiners are considering another increase in prices of refined oil products to help improve their waning profit outlook in the face of a 10 percent jump in global oil prices so far this year.
Beijing auto market
SALES revenue of Beijing s auto market in 2011 might shrink by 60 billion yuan (US$9.1 billion) due to the city limiting the number of cars purchased each month, a commerce official said Saturday.
Car sales revenue would drop to 100 billion yuan in 2011 from last year s 160 billion yuan, Wang Shuxia, chief for marketing section with the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, told a working meeting of the commission. A control on car purchases introduced this year limits new car license plates to 240,000 in 2011, said Wang.
