More Chinese tourists were snapping up Chinese brands on overseas markets where they were cheaper, domestic media reported over the weekend. According to the reports, Moutai s star product, the 375ml bottle of 53-degree Flying Moutai, was selling for about 550 yuan (US$83.66) at stores in Washington in the United States. On the Chinese mainland, the same product was at around 1,050 yuan. Other domestic brands, such as liquor giant Wuliangye and Chunghua tobacco, also saw sales surge.SD-Agencies
