CHINA may raise both on-grid and retail power prices in some regions as early as in April, industry and government sources said yesterday, in the first hike since late 2009 aimed to mainly help power generators to cope with rising coal costs.
The increase would be moderate and mostly affect industrial power users, said one of the sources.
The hike could be implemented from April 1 as planned if the inflation situation was not serious, a government source said.(SD-Agencies)
