THREE bazaars for second-hand children s toys and products will be held in October. Parents and children are being invited to provide children s books, stationery and toys.
The bazaars are scheduled to be held Oct. 16 at SZITIC Shopping Center in Futian District, Oct. 17 at Rihuitai in Longgang District and Oct. 23 at Baozhu Garden in Nanshan District, yesterday s Daily Sunshine reported.
Parents and children interested in attending the bazaars can register at the property management offices of the three venues or call 2542-6961 or 2540-7560.
Products to be sold at the bazaars should be priced between 20 and 500 yuan (US$3-75) and everything should be disinfected before being offered for sale, said the newspaper, which is also one of the organizers of the event.
Children will also be able to exchange toys and other products at the bazaars, or donate them through the city s Children s Welfare Center, another organizer.
The two organizations held seven bazaars between April and September, attracting more than 10,000 people. As many as 5,000 children exchanged second-hand products and more than 100 made donations to the charity, with some items being put up for charity auction.
