AN 11-year-old schoolboy died in an accidental fall from a balcony on the 27th floor of an apartment building in Luohu District on Thursday.
The boy s identity has not yet been released.
Security guards at the Yizhengfa apartment building on Songyuan Road believed the boy could have lost his balance when taking in clothing because a hanger and underwear fell with him, according to a witness. The balcony did not have a safety grille. Police have informed the boy s parents who were on business trip in Guangxi. The parents are now returning to Shenzhen.
The student wore the uniform of nearby Hongling Primary School and a teacher saw the accident at around 1:25 p.m.
