YANCHANG County in Shaanxi Province has started promoting its local specialty, organic apples, in Shenzhen.
Yanchang, around 300 kilometers from Xi an, capital city of Shaanxi, is one of the world s best apple-growing areas.
Ventilation work
WORK on the ventilation of Buxin Station on Metro Line 5 has been suspended since July, Shenzhen Metro officials said.
The suspension followed complaints from residents at Xinyi Garden who claimed the emissions would pollute and depreciate the value of their homes. The Metro company refuted the claims, saying the ventilation had been scientifically designed to limit pollution.
Dog triggers fight
FIVE people were admitted to hospital with injuries following a fight at a barbecue eatery in Pinghu, Longgang District, on Saturday.
The fight started after one of the patrons kicked a pet dog, attracting the attention of the dog s owner who began arguing with the diner, a witness said.
