Workshed fire
WORKSHEDS at which more than 80 people were working on Shenhui Road in Longgang District caught fire yesterday morning. A preliminary investigation showed a short-circuit caused the fire. No injuries were reported, but many of the workers personal belongings were destroyed in the fire, which was put out in half an hour. A police investigation is under way.
Collision injures 10
MORE than 10 people were injured in a collision between a car and a bus in Longgang District yesterday afternoon. The car driver was in a critical condition at Longgang People s Hospital. According to witnesses, the bus collided with the car after it changed lanes without warning. The bus caught fire after the collision and passengers were forced to smash the windows to escape. Police are investigating.
Man prosecuted
A COMPANY manager has gone on trial for holding an employee against his will and physically assaulting him. The manager, identified as Huang, had accused the unidentified employee of stealing a mobile phone. The case continues.
