Measles vaccine
A TOTAL of 471,404 children aged from 8 months to 4 years had been inoculated with the measles vaccine since September, the city s health authority said Friday.
The figure accounts for 98 percent of the children in that age range.
Death fall
A CONSTRUCTION worker fell to his death when he climbed over a guardrail on the third floor of a building under construction in Nanshan District on Saturday, police said.
Workers at the scene said the man was in his 20s and wasn t wearing a safety belt when he fell.
Lift freefall
A MAN suffered head and knee injuries in a 10-meter lift fall at Yangang Hospital in Yantian District on Saturday morning.
The man, identified as Feng, said the lift dropped from the fifth floor and then stopped abruptly. The hospital management said it would compensate Feng for his injuries.
