A 60-YEAR-OLD woman was struck by an iron bar that fell from a residential building in Gangxia Village, Futian District, on Saturday.
The woman, who was not identified, was knocked unconscious. A passer-by revived the woman and called her son who took her to hospital.
Doctors said the woman received stitches to a head wound and would remain in hospital for observation.
The woman was out shopping when she was hit by the bar, Saturday s Daily Sunshine reported.
Nearby residents said they often saw bottles, tins and other items falling from buildings in the community.
Futian police are investigating.
