A man stands in front of a pile of dirt placed by villagers in Pinghu Subdistrict, Longgang District, on Monday, blocking an entrance to Jihe (Airport-He ao) Expressway over a land compensation dispute.
The villagers dumped tons of soil at around 2 p.m., causing long tailbacks. The villagers claimed that land authorities took over a brick factory covering 7,000 square meters for the construction of Jihe Expressway in 2004, promising them compensation.
