SHENZHEN enterprises signed deals worth 10 billion yuan (US$1.48 billion) at the Seventh China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which ended Sunday in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The contracts signed included 7.85 billion yuan in sales contracts, 742 million yuan in procurement contracts, and 1.34 billion yuan in investment contracts, the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported yesterday.
The delegation of Shenzhen enterprises, all from Bao an District, exhibited products including computers, mobile phones, MP5 and GPS devices, as well as energy-saving products including LED screens and solar lamps at 115 booths during the six-day expo.
Among the projects signed, 14 involved contractual volumes of more than 100 million yuan. The projects were mainly in the electronic information, low-carbon economy and new energy fields.
Under this year s theme, Free Trade and New Opportunities, 10 high-level forums were held on the sidelines of the expo, including the China-ASEAN Customs-Trade Cooperation Forum and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.
It was the first China-ASEAN Expo since the full implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area from January this year.
