RESIDENTS with Shenzhen hukou (permanent residence permits) can renew their multi-entry Hong Kong visas on the Internet, according to new regulations introduced by public security authorities.
Residents can log on to http://www.gdcrj.com to complete the renewal procedure and acquire a new visa either by visiting the public security authority or choosing a paid delivery service.
Applicants will need to produce their ID cards, Shenzhen-Hong Kong pass and online application number.
According to the municipal public security bureau, online visa renewal will be completed within 10 workdays, with an extra two days for delivery.
The measure is aimed at reducing waiting times at the bureau s branches.
The visa delivery service is only available for residents within Guangdong province.
The multi-entry Hong Kong visa is only granted to hukou holders in Shenzhen.
