A DRIVER found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol and assaulting police officers has been detained for 20 days.
The driver, identified as Duan, had a minor collision with another car at the Longgang Tollgate on Huizhou-Yantian Expressway on Friday evening.
When police asked him to take a breath test he refused and began assaulting officers. One officer was injured in the scuffle. Police said Duan claimed he was a gang member and threatened to kill the officers families if he was detained.
Blood tests showed Duan s blood alcohol content was 194 milligrams per 100 milliliters, more than double the legal limit of 80 mg/100 ml.
