SHENZHEN police seized 10 buses that had been involved in unlicensed bus services in a two-hour operation Wednesday morning in Futian, Bao an and Nanshan districts, police said Thursday.
Careless mothers
TWO mothers chatting at a shopping plaza in Futian discovered that their two children, both aged 5, were missing Wednesday afternoon. The women reported their children s disappearance to police at 5:30 p.m. The two children were found two hours later, several kilometers away in Zhonghe Square, police said.
Fake cigarettes
FUTIAN police Tuesday busted a ring selling fake cigarettes and confiscated 542 cartons of fake cigarettes with a market value of 3 million yuan (US$447,762). The raid was carried out following a monthlong investigation, police said Thursday.
Minibus crash
TWO people were slightly injured when a truck struck their minibus Thursday morning on Bulong Road, Longgang District. The minibus was crushed between two trucks after a container truck lost control and rammed it from behind. The accident caused a two-hour jam.
