A FIRE which lasted four hours engulfed a factory producing art and craft products in Longgang District yesterday.
The fire started at about 8 a.m. and reduced a warehouses and facilities at the Beixing Art and Craft Products Factory to ashes before it was put out at about noon, a witness told the Shenzhen Daily.
No casualties were reported.
The fire started in the warehouse on the first floor of the three-storey building where workers were packaging products, a security guard said.
All the workers left the building when they were unable to control the fire. Thick smoke and fumes forced firefighters to wear breathing apparatus. The cause of the fire was thought to be an electrical fault, firefighters said, but an investigation continued.
