PEOPLE in a residential community in Nanshan District have complained about a nearby construction site they say poses safety hazards.
The construction site adjacent to the Shoudi Rongyu residential community was not fenced off from the community, the Daily Sunshine reported yesterday.
Dump trucks at the construction site pass through our community each day, leaving debris and posing a threat to our safety, said Zhang, a resident.
Heavy dump trucks had also damaged manholes in the community, leading to road cave-ins, residents said.
The community s five buildings are home to 206 households.
The original fencing separating the construction site from the community was demolished in September, according to residents.
The community management office said the construction was close to completion and they were talking to the developer to minimize the impact on residents.
