A snapping turtle found near the sea in Yantian District on Saturday afternoon. Border police took the turtle into their care before it was taken to the Shenzhen Safari Park on Sunday. Snapping turtles are among the world s largest freshwater turtles. Border police suspected that someone must have mistaken it for a sea turtle and released it into the sea.
